Questions, answered.
The short version — it's free, quick, and private, and it's for self-reflection, not for screening people.
Is it really free?
Yes. The full 50-item assessment and your five trait scores are free, with no account and no payment. Optional Enhanced and Coaching tiers are on the way, but the Snapshot is complete on its own.
How long does it take?
About five minutes. It's 50 short agree–disagree statements with no right or wrong answers — your first instinct is usually the most accurate.
What happens to my answers?
The assessment is anonymous — there's no account, and your answers aren't sold, shared, or used to train models. Prostile runs on private infrastructure operated by PKG Systems.
How accurate is it?
Prostile uses a well-studied public-domain Big Five instrument from the IPIP. It's a solid, research-grounded snapshot — but personality traits are tendencies, not fixed boxes, and any short self-report has limits. Read it as a starting point for reflection, not a verdict. More on the science.
Can I use this to hire or screen people?
No. Prostile is built for personal insight and conversation. It is not a clinical, diagnostic, or employment-screening instrument and shouldn't be used to evaluate, rank, or make decisions about other people.
What is the Big Five?
The Big Five (OCEAN) is the most widely validated model in personality science. It describes personality across five dimensions — Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Emotional Stability. The science page walks through each.
What's "Prostile"?
"Stile" is Italian for style — Prostile is about understanding your personal style. It's a PKG Systems product.
